Tairan (Terry) Wang, Ph.D.
Director
Terry Wang has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and over 15 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney, covering patent drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, and litigation, with expertise in software, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, wireless communications, and consumer electronics. He has extensive experience in patent litigation, inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, and ITC Section 337 investigations.
Before joining PV IP, Dr. Wang practiced at international law firms including Dentons, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Duane Morris, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he represented leading global semiconductor foundries, telecommunications companies, e-commerce giants, and consumer electronics manufacturers in standard-essential patent (SEP) and non-infringement matters, successfully recovering losses for clients through settlements. He also served as a senior electrical engineer at Seagate Technology, where he was deeply involved in the design and manufacturing of semiconductor and data storage products.
